On 7 January 2013, the Corporation of Chennai Zonal Commissioner and corporation officers, Mr. Suryanarayanan and Mr. Balaji, came to Seashore Town and met with President P. T. Govindarajan.
Thanks to the dedicated follow up by our committee members, five new compact garbage bins have been allotted to Seashore Town. They are located at the intersections of ECR and 2nd Avenue, ECR and 4th Avenue, ECR and 6th Avenue, ECR and 7th Avenue and 1st Avenue and 3rd Main Road. Our Association employed garbage collector, Govindan, has been instructed to dump all garbage in these grey metal bins, which the Corporation of Chennai lorries clear everyday.
In addition, six new plastic garbage containers were provided by the Corporation of Chennai to Seashore Town on January 18th. They have been given to Govindan to replace the old containers in his tricycle. The Corporation of Chennai has also ordered a new tricycle exclusively for Seashore Town garbage removal.
All residents, please note that the old garbage collection area at 6th Avenue and 1st Main Road has been cleared and leveled. Please do not dump any garbage there. Kindly use the metal garbage bins on ECR if you dispose of your own trash. Thanks for helping us keep Seashore Town clean and green!
